2012 Fisker Karma Gets A Second Chance To Make A Breakthrough

The Fisker Karma hasn’t been doing well so far. It started off major issues even before it was launched into production. This car has been created in the year 2011 even though it was planned to be released back in 2009, but some malfunctions and issues have risen which have caused the model to be delayed for a longer amount of time until it was finally introduced to the drivers.
What happened to this car?
For the short time it was produced, the Fisker Karma didn’t exactly manage to strike an impression of a car which drivers will be able to enjoy fully. At the time the first Fisker Karma was introduced to the market in July 2011, the competition was already well ahead. To make things worse, even though initially this car has been able to sell well during the few months while it was on the market, Fisker Karma faced serious financial difficulties during 2012 and was forced to go out of production.
How come it is coming back?
It seemed that the Fisker Karma reached an end of its brief run for a while, until it was revealed that a Chinese company, Wanxiang Group, might take over the production of Fisker Karma and bring it back as a new vehicle for the year 2015. This luxury electric sedan is going to make a new entrance and hopefully this time it is going to get a much better reception.
What will look like?
Since it is an electric car, the 2012 Fisker Karma is powered by a dual source. An electric engine which can be switched on, and the regular, 2.0 liter engine. This engine does not supply power to the tires so instead the primary source supplies the tires with 175kW worth of energy so that they will be able to function without the help of the engine.
What is the prognosis for the future?
It has been said that the Karma Fisker may not be able to live up to any standards since a lot of issues have risen to halt the production in the end. Since it is going to be making a comeback in 2015, sources speculate that it might retain the design of the 2012 version. It is not going to share a lot with it, except for the basic concept of an electric car. Whether or not it manages to strike a good impression is still for the test of time to see. After the new Karma Fisker rolls out, it will be clear to everyone if there has been an improvement.
