Review of the 2009 Saturn Outlook
The new 2009 Saturn Outlook comes with more power and torque because of the direct injection technology. This model continues to be one of the better options for larger families that need a mode of transportation. With its spacious dimensions and large cargo space this car can easily replace the minivan. The all-wheel drive and good towing capability provides the model flexibility that can be compared to an SUV. The company has ensured the remaining features in the new model are updated by providing convenience features like Bluetooth and a Bose audio system.
The Outlook is among the four models that are based on the Lambda platform used by General Motors. The other three vehicles include the GMC Acadia, the Chevrolet Traverse, and the Buick Enclave. Although the Saturn was lowest in the comparable car spectrum, sales were the slowest due to the smaller margins. Additional features included in the new model include optional twenty-inch wheels for the XR trim level and real time traffic capabilities for easier navigation system.
The benefits of the new 2009 Saturn Outlook include easy accessibility to all the seats, sufficient room for both people and cargo, above average towing abilities, and drive much smaller than it really is. However, some of the disadvantages of the new model are slow transmission to the downshift and small buttons on the dashboard, which are not very user friendly. The transmission is six-speed automatic w/OD and auto-manual.
This car is available in two engine variants, which includes a 281 horsepower 3.6 liter V-6 and the 288 horsepower 3.6 liter V-6 both with regular gas. Customers are provided with an option of either front wheel or all-wheel drive based on their personal preferences. The upgraded version comes with panic brake assist and rear backup camera along with an option for remote start and park assist. All these new features make the model more convenient and comfortable for use.
Many experts and users have commended the fact that the new model appears like an SUV. Moreover, it can comfortably sit seven to eight people making it appropriate for big families. With standard stability system and six standard airbags this new Saturn car is one of the best in class models when compared to other competitors. The inferior quality of the seat interiors makes it less desirable with some users; however, with direct injection technology and other modern mechanisms this model provides excellent value for money.
