Suzuki Baleno Glides Over a Field and Dirt Track

Suzuki isn't really a household name when you think about off-road vehicles. The manufacturer, earning its original fame by producing powerful motorcycles, has a big focus on small hatchbacks and saloons. The only cars that have really stood up to being tested off-road recently have been the Grand Vitara or the Jimny. And on top, this Suzuki Baleno is an estate car, not an off-roader! Still, it certainly makes light work of the sodden mud, uneven and slippery terrain and makes it around the track just as ably as one of its more specialised kinds.
We can't say there's too much excitement about its looks, but then again it's wearing the same dress as the Subaru Legacy estate, which is a very good benchmark for on and off-road performance.
