Maserati has modified the GranTurismo Convertible. What difference it has than the last year’s model is, a more potent V8 and revised headlights along with LED running lights.
Overview
We know great art work for example the Coliseum to the Pantheon or the Sistine Chapel to the Mona Lisa, comes from Italy. The car has detailing elegant, flowing lines and classic proportions. So from design point of view, the GranTurismo Convertible surely follows same lineage. The sculpture on wheels that would have made Michelangelo feels proud.
The GranTurismo Convertible is only good looking car but also has rich operatic soundtrack with its magical 4.7-liter V8. It is hand-built by Ferrari. The engine goes to 444 horsepower with 374 lb-ft of torque, which is no doubt enough to pull the big car from speednzero-to-60 mph in the time as less as 5.1 seconds, or little slower as per the norms.
Output goes to the rear wheels via smooth-shifting six-speed automatic transmission. Fuel efficiency is at 16 mpg when commuting in city and it becomes 21 mpg on the highway for both the models.
The GranTurimso Convertible has a feature called "Skyhook" which is actually a three-mode adjustable suspension which can allow the driver to choose between ride comfort and handling nimbleness. Both of them do exist in both setting in excess.
The GranTurismo Convertible's cabin is covered in flexible leather, handcrafted by Italian firm Poltrona Frau. The dashboard is decorated with the help of fine wood trim along with door panel and rear areas. The car has highest level of detailing. The chrome rings enhance the dashboard switches as well steering wheel and the Alcantara sections.
The dashboard is little behind when it comes to infotainment/navigation graphics as well as functionality, and it also does not provide the high-end safety features which some competitors do offer. On the bright side, the rear seats are actually suitable for average sized adults, which is strength of car of this class
